Clinical Significance of the Esophageal Outflow Resistance Imposed by a Nissen Fundoplication
Outflow resistance of the fundoplication must be <20 mmHg and the esophageal contraction amplitude globally in the distal third of esophagus must exceed this threshold to avoid persistent postoperative dysphagia.
